First, polyester fabrics are extremely elastic. Repeatedly rubbing the polyester fabric will quickly recover its original shape without leaving wrinkles. This is beyond the reach of other fabrics. From this point of view, shirts made of polyester fabric are durable, wrinkle-resistant and non-ironing. Polyester is indeed a rare coat fabric.

 

Second, polyester fabrics have poor moisture absorption. The shirt made of polyester fabric does not absorb sweat very much. It is easy to wear and feels hot and airtight. It is easy to be charged with static electricity and easy to get dust. But this also has advantages. Clothes made of polyester fabric are not easy to deform after washing, and they are easy to dry.

 

Third, polyester fabric has excellent heat resistance. It can be said that polyester has the best heat resistance among chemical fiber fabrics and has extremely strong plasticity. If it is made into a pleated skirt, it can hold the pleats very well without excessive ironing. At the same time, polyester fabrics have poor melting resistance and are easy to burn out holes when they encounter sparks, so you must pay special attention when wearing them.
Fourth, polyester fabrics have better light resistance. Clothes made of polyester fabrics are generally more lightfast than natural fiber fabrics. Therefore, it is basically no problem to expose polyester shirts to the sun, so there is no need to worry about side effects. This feature makes the light fastness of polyester fabric almost equal to that of acrylic fabric.

 

Fifth, the chemical resistance of polyester fabrics is outstanding. Shirts made of polyester fabrics are not damaged by acid or alkali to a great extent, so some bleaching agents and oxidizing agents have no effect on their foundation, and polyester clothes are not afraid of mold or insects. This feature also results in the poor dyeability of polyester fabrics, and the dyeing is relatively difficult, but once the dyeing is successful, it is not easy to fade.
